Objectives

System of safety, and occupational health management and securing working environment is made to prevent accidents, injuries and occupational diseases, as well as to preserve a safe working environment to protect elements of production (human beings - equipment - materials- money.).

System is built based on necessary measures taken for right identification of  real risks, planning for protection and prevention, applying corrective actions, following up, making evaluations and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety activities.

Fire and Firefighting

NCC is a leader in implementing fire free and fire prevention system , as it has implemented the following

Alarm and fire distinguish system for cables tunnel with the highest international technology using a thermal sensor cable used in electrical cable alarming systems. NCC is the first cement company to use this technology, which locates precisely the high temperature regions along the tunnel  for the proper handling of this problem before the fire outbreak.

NCC also has adopted the highest level of technology in alarm and fire systems in El-Tabeen Power stations 5 & 6. Samples  from the surrounding air are taken and analyzed to check smoke % up to 0.0005 % . Therefore, invisible smoke can be identified a couple of  hours before fire starts which helps in identifying and handling the problem to avoid fire before it starts.

NCC also currently implement a fire extinguish network covers the whole company using foam fire fighting technology, which is the latest technology used in industrial companies. NCC is pioneer among cement and oil companies in using this technology to keep company safe.  This network was designed by a consultant firm specialized in automated alarm and fire fighting systems.
 

NCC has a fleet of 3 fire fighting vehicles adopting up-to-date technology in this field. These vehicles are supported by a well trained crews being in continuous training. 

300 persons selected from different sectors of the company have been trained in General Administration of Civil Protection in Ministry of Interior.

The target is to train up to  25% of NCC' s employees in accordance with international codes of firefighting and prevention.
